Boarding Collège Boys
Building and facilities
The Perce-Neige Chalet, a building filled with the experiences of past pupils, houses the collège boarders of Sainte Croix des Neiges, where they can get to know each other, learn to live in a community, and find a balance between study, relaxation and leisure
The building comprises several large bedrooms accommodating around ten beds. These rooms are partitioned to provide a private area in a shared space..
Housed in the same building are a large recreation room (ping-pong, billiards, video games, board games and a library with books and comics), a study room, fitness room, music room, computer room, projection room and a refectory.
Life as a boarder
The pupils live in a family atmosphere that encourages self-sufficiency to prepare them for life as responsible adults. Our educational professionals are there to listen to the pupils when called upon for their help and experience.
Ongoing pedagogical assistance is provided to all pupils on an individual basis. This is assistance rather than teaching. Handling any problems related to learning requires personal determination, facilitated by the group dynamic
The environment is ideal for outdoor activities, which are organised on Wednesday afternoon and weekends for the full-time boarders. An even balance between sports and cultural activities helps to keep most pupils happy
In winter, the Perce-Neige students can enjoy all the opportunities the Abondance valley has to offer to improve their skiing on the numerous slopes of the French-Swiss resorts of Portes du Soleil. See “Activities”
The boarding school timetable is designed to meet the pupils’ physiological needs and facilitate their studies during the school day.
